Hello, the title pretty much says it. I tried to launch PA few days ago and got this -.- error. I got it even when running the PA launcher ( in a hope that re-downloading the game will fix it). Since then I updated nvidia drivers, audio drivers, intel display drivers, reinstalled DirectX, Vcredist, net framework and used many tools to repair dlls and stuff, but I'm still getting this piece of -.- . And now I'm out of ideas what to do next. Please help me I want to play this game so bad :/ Including my dxdiag in case you can find anything usefull in it.
Error 0xc00007b just mean that DLL file is incorrect and it's basically may be any DLL file in your system game use. Though for PA it's almost always caused by certain DirectX DLL and may be fixed as explained in this topic: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648817377928373876/ Try it, but if this won't help you I'll give you detailed instruction how to check for other incorrect DLL.
You need to download Dependency Walker "Version 2.2.6000 for x64 [468k]" here: http://www.dependencywalker.com/ Then run it and load bin_x64/PA.exe executable using it. Ok there are 8 dlls that are probably missing. I know a website full of dll files, but where do I place them, after I get them?
Please do not download any DLLs from such websites, ever. Only appropriate way to install something it's use some installer/update/etc. Better to post here some screenshot so we can see what's you missing.
Here's the screenshot. That second part of the red sentence says "System can't find this file" in Czech.
This mean some of system files is corrupted and options are: Make sure all updates are installed. Try to use system repair to prior date. Also from what I find on other sources way that may let you fix this is: Remove "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable" both x86/x64 Install Windows 7 SDK: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8279 You may also try to reinstall "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable" instead too.
