A thread to say what bugs you with navy at the moment and stuff you think needs to be done. So far- I have been able to place a naval factory in too shallow water so that every time i build a unit it just got stuck in the sea bed, this need to be a part of when they implement building collisions, along with stopping buildings from being built inside of each other they need to make sure naval factories can only be placed in deep enough water. Have also had a naval yard that could build ships fine but subs got stuck in the sea bed. Not really a bug but sort of is, my tech 2 ships don't autofire on enemies up to their maximum range only when they get quite close, pain in the but killing loads of little guys it was clicking them all to utilize the ships range, had to move my ship in so it would auto fire at hostiles. Planes could target and attack my jellyfish which i thought were underwater mines And of course vehicles driving across the bottom of the ocean something i think only bots should be able to do as ocean floors are rough pitted places that would require the mobility and balance that legs provide to traverse, not to mention that some of the vehicles look top heavy and would thus roll over at the first bump.
A bunch of naval features including subs are listed as "feature incomplete". I guess they haven't worked out underwater stuff yet. As for naval in general, I think we might need a few extra structures just for balancing sake. There are only two advanced sea base defenses available, in particular there's no sea version of the anti-nuke launcher. I'm fine with no nuke launchers since barracudas can do that, but if you're in a situation where your base is in the sea and the enemy's base is on land, you're at a disadvantage since they can shoot down your nukes but you can't shoot down theirs. There's also no long-range units or defenses either. I just think two or three more advanced structures for naval will even things out.
