Just got afflicted by a weird bug playing a random crossfire match testing out a gunner build. I got bacon, got juice, deployed beside the enemy base, then I juiced. After unloading on the enemy team I was confused as to why there were no health bars. A juiced, deployed gunner should've been able to take out an entire team easily, ESPECIALLY with bacon. For some reason, I wasn't dealing any damage, despite my bullets colliding with the enemy. I have it recorded. I'll see if I can get it uploaded. Any idea what could be causing this? EDIT: I reviewed the video, after undeploying I still couldn't deal any damage whatsoever until I used slam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otu3O3nnMcg EDIT III: Re-uploaded with less black screen and I lowered the volume a bit, it was quite loud.
had this happen with a sniper's uzi once, but after i reloaded it was fine, btw nice deploy kills on the first deploy
I have had this happen when I think I held down the fire button, reloaded, and tried to shoot an assault's grenade launcher. It ended up not firing anything at all.
I've had the same thing happen to me with all hitscan weapons. I feel like it happens more frequently when I'm juiced, but it might just be that I notice the lack of damage when I should be insta-killing everything in my field of view. I also play a lot of gunner and it's happened both deployed and un-deployed. And, like you having to slam, I have to either die or use a skill to do damage again. Maybe reloading works, I'm not sure. Very strange bug.
Had something similar happen in another match. Held down left click and I physically could not fire my weapon. No windup, no animation on the crosshairs, nothing - I tried multiple clicks, slam, everything. Switching to mortar didn't help. Teammate drives the enemy off, and I switch back to the minigun after waiting for my health to regenerate and next encounter it (thankfully) works as intended. Bug came as mysteriously as it went. EDIT: Youtube doesn't like publishing annotations at the moment, but I had included that bit as a sort of "control" to show that deploy and damage was, in fact, working.
It happened to me last night as a gunner aswell, I had juice and was firing up my miniguns turning the corner into the opponents base and juiced as I did and spray everything but no bullets were fired, it only fixed itself when I reloaded.
