So I have my mumble push to talk button on Mouse4. Problem is, that it behaves ingame the same as Mouse1, so it draws a selection rect, which is most annoying :-(
This is a known issue, and one that frustrates me personally. I switch across to voice-activated while playing PA. However, this sort of thing is more 'quality-of-life' rather than 'game-breaking-bug' so I would imagine it's the sort of thing Uber will look at quite a bit later on.
How have you bound it? On my logitech I can bind mouse 4/5 in the driver and PA works with it just fine.
Mine's also Logitech. I have the mouse buttons set to 'unbound' with the software. Can you post some screenies of your configuration? I'll do so later when home so we can compare 'successful' and 'unsuccessful' settings.
Basically I bound shift ("umschalt") and ctrl directly in the mouse driver. PA reacts to it just as it should react to shift and ctrl. So instead of configuring "mouse 4" in mumble/ts you might want to try bind some "standard" key in mumble/ts and use the mouse driver to bind mouse 4/5 to that key. Also I think it is very likely that the "buggy" handling of mouse 4 is a pure UI issue and thus modable. In fact I can remember vaguely modding something about this for somebody a few month ago. Forgot about the who and where and what though.
As far as I understand with my settings mouse 4 and 5 are registered as presses to shift and ctrl by windows already. I can type upper case letters just fine using mouse 4, too.
Well. ... thats what should be happening. .. but I made it unique to the PA.exe, and it didn't work at all.
But then I can't use forward and back buttons. And of course it should be global anyway, because it switches the mouse profile while pa.exe is running. Or rather it does not. And that's the issue I guess. . It workd fine, so long as you change the settings for the entire computer
