Monday Night Combat is a kind of league, right ? A league with only 2 teams dont seems correct. Bring more teams, colors to game, please. I know this is only cosmetic, but helps to create the MNC atmosphere. The mechanical to choose teams can be simple: In MP lobby room we have all teams on top right corner and everyone choose one. 2 Teams with more clicks will be choosed. If we have draw or no votes, will get random teams. Basically the same current Team Selection system. Lets suggest some colors and names. I will list all below. No. In case you're wondering why: Every map is skinned a certain way. The teams are called icemen and hotshots for a reason. Also, this is just unnecessary for Uber to put into the game. They have lots to do before release.
obvious that request is not intended to come before the release date well i think exactly in this map question. If this certain areas, with team logos and colors, can be define by a wildcard solved the problem But i dont know if is possible in this engine.
Maybe it would be. But this just changes a lot of what they did in the game. I'm sure lots of their code is designed for only 2 teams. You know, the way we choose teams now is by picking random or hotshots or icemen. I just don't see this working, as well as being somewhat unnecessary. Sorry, but that's my opinion.
It always bothered me in the saturday-morning cartoon show, Heavy Gear, that there were only two teams, yet they competed in "tournaments." But it never bothered me in this game since both sides are just clones and robots, so they aren't really fighting for anything other than the entertainment of the crowd (and the players). Never-the-less, I wouldn't mind naming a few team color names for the fun of it: Greenie Meanies Purple Hearts (Although these names don't really fit the theme of the two established teams :roll
Could go the Tribes route and have the map determine which two of a larger group of teams will be featured
How about: The Yellow Bastards! Background story: this is a team that always got called out for using coward tactics when they won. So they decided to go with that and call themselves Yellow Bastards.
