    Hi all,

May some more options to turn down (and up) graphics settings be added?

I'm probably running the lower end of the spectrum of machine specs (HP convertible notebook, dual core AMD ZM-85, 6GB ram, ATI Radeon HD 3200). I've always known that I'd need to run it on low (perhaps ultra-low) graphics settings but that doesn't bother me as I'm interested in the gameplay not the pretty lights.

Is there anything else that can be turned off. I'm thinking shadows must be taking up some serious GPU/CPU on my setup. There are bound to be other things too technical for me to know about. However, if there were more sliders (whatever it is that they control) I'd just slide them down and reap the benefits of smoother gameplay.

    Thanks,

    Rebuilt.

You can turn shadows off but moving around planet/zooming still lags me the hell out.

Create shortcut to PA.exe, edit it and add "--nofeatures" flag.
    "Target" should looke like that:
This option disable trees, rocks and probably something else. Might give you some extra fps.

Now start can using shortcut. ;)

Let me know if it's improved your FPS rate and how it's works for multiplayer.

There is no local hosting, all games are dedicated servers during alpha.

Works a charm. Things are better. I noticed that planets with water slows the FPS down a lot even with the nofeatures option. But it could be that the lakes planet is bigger than the forest planet.
