i mean the endorsment are coll n all but imagine an assault whit a shotgun secondarie or a sniper whit a rail gun or more secondaries like a pistol or a rocket laucher
Yeah doing this would require ALOT of rebalancing to classes. Now if they did minor "new weapons" it could be balanced. Things like a new Sniper Rifle that deals 10% more damage but has 20% fire rate drop (Gold RoF Endorsement would make it equal or just under normal Snipers RoF). Or (dumb idea) a LightSaber sword (or dagger if not level 3) that replaces the Assassins dagger/sword deals 10-20% more damage BUT you get a "glow effect" based upon your teams color even when cloaked. Glow grows bigger when you get a sword. So this will make the Assassin much more deadly BUT basically make the cloaking ALOT less useful. Gunners grenade launcher replaced with a Rocketlauncher. Fire straight but deals only 75% damage of the grenades AND it has a slower rate of fire. Level 3 will still split into 3 - balanced because less damage and slower rate of fire but upside is MUCH easier to aim - you could hit idle objects/players across map. If they do things where new weapons have a good upside but a BIG downside it would allow for balanced weapons. However I would just prefer skinned weapons or weapons which function the same completely but look different (Supports Shotgun looking like a Spas12, Snipers rifle looking like a classic hunting rifle ect)
I like superficial options. Costume changes, different weapon skins, maybe even custom attachments. I mean, a laser sight or a drum mag doesn't necessarily make your gun work different, but adds a different sort of effect. when you start messing with the types of weapons in terms of range and damage, you start messing with game balance (already tenuous). While I like the idea of more options, maybe even a point--based option for custom classes, it would be hella hard to balance. And frankly, if it can't be balanced, I'd rather not have it at all.
Re: more herp tee terp spelling Sounds like a certain popular game built around the concept of modern warfare to me. But anyway, balancing issues and stuff.
Re: more herp tee terp spelling I agree. The last thing we want is for Team Fortre....Errr...Monday Night Combat to have anything resembling another game.
