Being that money is so important in the game I have a question. Watching the gameplay vids I see that coins appear after a kill and have to be manually collected for cash, but sometimes when there is a kill a message will flash on the screen stating that cash has been earned without collecting coins. What is the difference between these kill types and when do you need to worry about running around manually collecting coins?
You get money for kills and assists, but the money on the ground is "bonus cash" that anyone can pick up. It's minimal, usually $5 to $20, but believe me, you dont want to be sitting on $399 when you need to upgrade a skill that costs $400, so its worthwhile to pick it up. They also have speed boosts and health boosts that drop.
So for every kill (robot or pro) you automatically get cash deposited in your account and the coins are just bonus?
Exactly. The MVP is the person who earned the most cash that game. So, someone might be 9-15 with $2200 earned, while someone else is 12-3 with only $1500 earned...you also get cash for jackbot kills, and, I think, taking down the money ball. Also, a ring out is an extra $100 and theres cash for other things too (double/triple kills, etc)
Yes, but you get the most cash by using innovative ways to kill people. A taunt after a ring-out, for instance, gets you LOADS of money.
I'll look forward to whomever writes the FAQ that details who gets cash and for what. Lot of different factors at play. Probably going to need a team effort on that...or for Uber to just post it. Hmmm...what would be easier. I wonder...
