MNC, Take Two: New Player Tries Again

OK, after many months of not playing I decided to pick up this game again. It's addictive and highly frustrating. The most kills I've had in a single match is 12, and I'm not sure how I got that many. My typical match is somewhere around 3 kills, 8 assists, and 12 deaths. My best strategy for kills is to sneak in a shot or two on someone that is about to be killed by somebody else and hopefully it registers on my side. I just can't figure out how to straight up kill someone. Yesterday I was up against someone of my own class, I hit him with a bomb, then charged through him, then watched him run away unscathed.

I know K/D ratio isn't what this game is about and the Money Ball is what's important, but I think it would be nice to learn how to kill people when they can so easily kill you. Besides, considering how lopsided the teams are in pub sessions, it's not like my team will win anyway, so I might as well kill some people to feel better about it.

Anyway, the point to my rant is to find people that I can team up with and hopefully learn how to play this game. Unfortunately, I deleted everyone I was playing with before and now I don't see them on anymore.

I'm trying to learn Assault (Armor, Rate of Fire, Accuracy) before moving on to other classes.

try looking at one of the guides, aswell as gameplay of above average players. Also what is your Gamertag?

Actually I'd probably rather play against some pros so they can tell me what I'm doing (or not doing) that makes me an easy target. There's probably something obvious that I'm not picking up on.

well i guess the guides might make it look easy but there are a ton of vids out there to watch and learn thier playstyle so you can help formulate your own. But the best thing right now is play with better players ask them questions then play some private matches to play against them.

Edit: Xeno has some videos of public match play that you might benefit from but i dont recommend the build he uses since your starting off but once you get better you can use pretty much anything and still do well.

I didn't see any of Xeno's videos but I did find a few others on youtube. I saw this one guy absolutely mowing people down and his style isn't much different than mine. I'm going to try his build and see if it yields better results. Hopefully it will point me in the right direction.
