step 1)make a bat file with the command lines inside it.(I use the commandline recommended Ekanaut " Recommend Command Line

Are the DirectX redistributable and the PhysX installer both installed on the machine you are trying to run the game server on? I ran into the same issue, then realized it required both of these just to run the dedicated servers files.

Now I am stuck on the next step which is fixing it so players can actually join :/

I would try what Brett suggests.
However, make sure that the batch you created goes inside the Win32 folder in the monday night combat folder.

    Steam > steamapps > common > monday night combat > Binaries > Win32

There is also a support file inside the Win32 and inside is the DirectX exe.
(Also make sure that you change your server description to something other than "Server name with spaces" as i'm sure you'd like to identify yourself to the world. lol (otherwise keep it - it's up to you.)
