After a break of playing, I went back onto planetary annihilation, with the intention of playing.

Unfortunately, there was an update of sorts, that seems to have rendered my playing impossible, with no error messages, just the inability to do anything whatsoever, such as playing or settings or anything else apart from system designer and tutorial, neither of which will load.

Eventually, it will present me with a loading screen saying 'unable to connect to ubernet game'. It will not change.

    Thanks for helping,

    Alex

Did you every get this resolved? It seems as if there is some sort of network issue going on.

    Edit: autocranberry

    Troubleshooting Steps
    1. Disable all mods if you've ever used or tried to use them. Use mod manager, and to be really sure run the game with --nomods or remove/rename the mods/client_mods/server_mods directories.
    2. Reset to default settings; to be really sure delete (or temporarily rename) localstorage
    3. Check known issues and bugtracker for similar reports (people have already commented, so this may be covered)
    4. Post system information (dxdiag, steam system information, or OSX reporting)

And you're sure you're connected to the internet?

The videos on the side wouldn't show up if he wasn't (I know this from personal experience)

If I had to hazard a guess, it's probably a problem with one of his mods.

    Thank you all so much!

Turns out I had installed a mod, but since it didn't work, had forgotten all about it.

I disabled it, and now I can play again!
