You probably already have heard of the reboot of the MechWarrior franchise and I assume there are still a few fans around. Mektek in collaboration with more companies than I would care to name have released the 4th part of the series for free now. The graphics might look a little dated but the good feeling of driving a 100 ton giant through a base grilling the opposing forces with PPCs, ER-Lasers and Missiles is still the same! And the best part is that you get all the updates, new mechs and weapons in one download. Over 100 mechs, 9 battle armors, infanty and over 100 weapon types will be at your finger tips. You will have to download one 1,7GB file and 2 patches but it's well worth it. A word of caution, the download client needs some time to go through the whole process, let it run until 51.03.01.0020. And don't close MTX during the download if possible, it will probably start from the beginning. I had a fairly fast download beginning with 10kB/s up to 600kB/s but I increased my upload to 40kB/s and 6 upload slots. You might want to do the same. in Options -> Network. Have fun!
