https://plus.google.com/u/0/ RonAmadeo/posts/e5VJHRYsNEE Interesting stuff. Twitch certainly is bouncing all over the place these days and I don't like what's happening.
This whole VOD/YouTube thing is going to bring things to a head quickly. As content owners, this drives us crazy - it makes it harder for our musician(s) to get exposure, and just makes it harder for people to do something we fully endorse - basically stream our content it their discretion. It's to our benefit and that of the streamers to encourage this.
Yeah, the last thing I want is for a video of our game to get flagged because a person wanted to play Get Jiggy With It alongside their GW playthrough.
What are your/our options if Twitch decides to start muting audio just because it detects Howard's music? I've already read some reports of Twitch muting videos because of the actual game's music.
I start driving door to door to the places who are claiming ownership of our music and hitting them with a whiffle bat.
On the bright side, there's a chance this means every PA video will end up needing to use the PA soundtrack instead of whatever people have on spotify.
It's a game that takes 4 days to complete (Duration may be exaggerated/hyperbole). Bored now. I'm not big on watching televised sports, but I understand the appeal of watching cricket a little less than most sports.
Depends on which variant. Twenty20 is over in an afternoon, so 4 days is exaggerated. Test cricket can take over a month (best of 5 test matches, limit of 5 days per test match, plus time between for players to recover), making 4 days a vast understatement. There are also ODIs (one-day internationals: should give you a hint as to the duration) See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket#Types_of_matches
