I've had the best laughs from PA going into manual camera mode in replays etc, following the comm as he's pursued by a horde of bots (actually, some more subtle effects like the 'running' sound of bots can only seemingly be heard in this mode) Anyway, in the latest build it would go into this mode (space or M depending where you are), mouse rotates the view, but arrows/wsad didn't move the view, and the raise/lower camera didn't either (f and v or r or something). I see 'free camera' bound to space in the new keyboard bindings menu - were the other ones missed?
Space locks your position and allows you to angle the camera direction using the mouse. The Freecam mode has been changed to CTRL+M in this patch, which allows you to angle the camera and use wasd to move the camera.
I'm having weird problems with the free cam (spacebar) in the latest Alpha. With the default setting (toggle free cam on space bar), it doesn't work at all. I can sometimes get a single movement of the camera but then it snaps back to its starting position and won't move any more. If I change space bar to the set free cam option, this works but then I can't get the free cam to unlock, so I can't pan or zoom etc. Any ideas? [edit] That could have been me being a klutz. I was holding the spacebar rather than tapping it. Seems AOK in the new A52973 build.
