Make Rail Gun Head Shot Capable

    This would be awesome. It's basically a sniper anyway. Rifles in most games are headshot capable and it definitely adds a new level of skill to combat. Make the damage multiplier 1.5x, I think that would be most balanced. This is something that most people expected from the start.

    The Tank is a defensive unit so sitting back a bit should be part of his optional choices. I say headshots should count for every unit anyway, I actually cannot understand why they are not.

    i wouldn't say headshot but a guaranteed critical shot if the head was hit.

    the only thing that should be changed is more afterburn damage -_- this is just silly.

    I don't see why it's silly. It isn't easy to get headshots. Almost every game's rifle is headshot capable, and it makes sense too. If you get shot in the head, it hurts more.

    Do it. Personally, I believe adding headshots adds a new element of skill to the game. The person with better aim always wins gunfights that way.

    theres no narrow field of vision when your using a railgun. you can bunny hop your heart out and possibly get a headshot. thats why its silly. plus that would make criticals next to useless if most or all players could simply do more damage by aiming for the head.

    And a sniper can get a random no scope headshot, or accidentally headshot a moving target when they were aiming for a body shot. Snipers aren't immune to lucky headshots just like no other class is immune to getting a lucky kill. The tank is generally considered an underpowered class, and I think that giving the tank's railgun headshot capabilities might balance it a bit. Mind you, we aren't talking about headshots for everyone like you brought up, just headshots for the railgun.

    You contradicted yourself a little. If you are bunny hopping, it makes it harder to shoot others. And if you are taking out criticals, they are totally based on luck. You replace it with something that takes skill to do consistently.

    the point is, to get a headshot, you will be moving slowly, cannot jump, have a narrow field of vision. throwing all of that away in a game like this just makes it stupidly good. if you want to do more damage, hope for a crit and dont miss your shots. that should be rewarding enough.

    Honestly though, adding "global headshots" would make it more of a TDm then a Crossfire match.

    I'm confused. You're saying that it's easy or hard to get headshots? It sounded like you were saying it's hard, so it would take skill and be more rewarding than waiting for something lucky to happen. I never even get crits with the rail gun anyway. Anyway, this thread was supposed to be sort of a solution to everyone talking about how the tank needs a buff. It doesn't really NEED a buff, but I think this is what should happen if anything.

    I'm glad you're having a more open mind on things, Shammas. But headshots for the Tank just makes the jet gun even more useless. Why even use it if you can could get an instant kill from all ranges but short?

    I'm not saying instant kills for headshots, that's retarded. I'm saying increase the damage for a headshot by like 1.5x or something. For example, a sniper would take 2 headshots, 1 body shot and 1 head shot, or 3 body shots to kill. Atm, the 2 body shots puts a sniper in black bar health.

    Oh, I just assumed that you meant for it to be just like the sniper's headshot. That's a little better. But it still obsoletes the jet gun, just slightly.

    The jet gun is and always will be better close up. At the moment, the only time I even use the jet gun is when people run at me. I never chase as a tank, that almost always ends in death.

    Easy and Hard have nothing to do with it. Other than the fact that the railgun is fine as is, Tank isnt MEANT to be a playerkiller but he CAN do it well with the railgun. Im implying that theres a penalty to be had to you when your going to get a headshot, if the tank could do this that just takes all of it away. Does the tank need a buff, yes. Is this a bit insane of a request, yes. You shouldnt be able to wreck players and push lanes that well. Imo since Tanks burn damage is literally so insignificant it will almost never kill anyone, that is where the buff needs to go. The railgun will kill if you can aim with it, this request is just overkill.

    Burn is more about keeping their health from regenerating than doing damage, Reltsirk.
