I understand that bacon is supposed to be rare, since it buffs all stats to gold sponsors, but it's just too rare. Out of over 300 online and offline matches (including blitz), I have seen bacon drop 4 times. I managed to grab bacon twice, both cases being during offline blitz. The 2 bacon drops I've seen online were both grabbed by an assassin/sniper, who died almost immediately after taking it.
The point of the game isnt to make one person a super pro compared to everyone else and reduce the team work. If an assault thats even decent at his class picks the bacon up, its almost impossible to kill him and his score ends up being a win for the match and insta plowing down anyone in his way. The assault now thinks he is above his team and goes off on his own.. I would like it if bacon was takin out period. xS m o k 3 z opinion and thats all.
not exactly a great opinion imo. if the bacon dropped once a game it woulddefinitely be fine. that's the hwole point of bacon anyway. it's a rare drop and when you get it you have the potential to make a more significant impact than others. it most definitely wouldnt destroy the whole team game theme and infact it would give an entire team a more offensive backing. if a teammate of mine got bacon, i'd babysit him and ensure he optimises this opportunity.
As rare as it is, it'd be better to just take bacon out of the game entirely then. As it is now, seeing someone find a hat in tf2 (in a 12 maxplayers server) is more common than seeing bacon drop in mnc. And we all know that valve is intentionally making hat drops as rare as possible.
My personal opinion about bacon is that it's just a gimmick that doesn't add much to the game. It drops too little to be of significance and when I get it, I honestly don't even get that excited about it. I don't really care much about it. If they took it out, I'd be fine with that. If they made it more common but less powerful, I'd also be fine with it. If they leave it the way it is, I'm fine with that too. Also, to people who're going to flame me for not thinking bacon is totally awesome yaddayadda: I don't care about your flames either.
Bacon is a cool little gimmick that doesn't need to drop any more than it does. Also, this one time, I got two Bacon drops. From the same Bullseye. You jelly?
This other time, I got ten Bacon drops from the local butcher's. Okay, I had to pay a little, but for that kind of money, you couldn't even buy a Laser Blazer.
I think the bacon drop rate is just fine for pubs. If it was made more common, the excitement of seeing or picking it up would decrease. There should also be an option to turn it off for competitive matches
a gunner with a dot like the sniper when scoped in would be epic (that's how i would see platinum endorsements) plus, your RoF would be over 9000 with dual minis
