So me and my friends got on and realized the game was updated. So we got into a game and every time we tried to play it crashed so bad that my computer couldn't start up for a while. The previous build was working fine before and we didn't crash at all. What happened, and can it be fixed?
They're constantly improving stability. So hang in there. Providing more information would be helpful though. Was there an error? Did it just crash? Details help. Also head over to the bug tracker for this stuff.
You would have to be friends with renimcinos319? garat moved that thread into PA Beta Discussion subform. So I'm assuming you pre-ordered the game and you have an issue accessing other parts of the forum. This thread was called Major Crashing with new Beta Build and can you access it? Did you order it off the steam?
Can you upload your DxDiag.txt, and crash log? Instructions for attaching are in my signature. Instructions for the crash log. go to C:\ drive then go to folder called Users click on it. then go to folder called "your username" it. then go to folder called AppData click on it.* then go to folder called Local click on it. then go to folder called Uber Entertainment on it then go to folder called Planetary Annihilation on it. then go to folder called log on it. attach newest log (Ex. PA-20-09-49.000.txt) *instructions to see hidden folders. Might not be able to see it because it's hidden. You open the explorer window. talk left of the window. Click on organize, and then folder and search options. Now click on the view tab. Scroll down until you see hidden files and folders. Choose show hidden files, folders, drives then click okay. (C:\Users\cody\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\PA-20-09-49.000.txt)
Please try deleting the old PA installation and re-downloading the game, there may be an old file from a previous build interfering.
