With the new Beta Build out (56516) me and my friends decided to play. Although me and them always crash when the rendering is halfway done. The crashing is major enough that sometimes we need a whole system reboot to even get our PC's to work, and PA still does the same thing. It loads for a bit, then my cursor turns to the windows loading circle, then black screen, and that process loops until I restart. Wondering if anyone else has this problem or has found a solution?
Can you upload your DxDiag.txt, and crash log? Instructions for attaching are in my signature. Click on organize, and then folder and search options. Now click on the view tab. Scroll down until you see hidden files and folders. Choose show hidden files, folders, drives then click okay.
I can confirm i've had this bug too. The system half-loads.. I.E the mesh is there and all the features of the terrain but no textures, Metal spots are showing up, N/S shows up. But it's unresponsive and hangs solid. I can persist and get PA to close but the reason the whole system seemingly hangs solid is PA is nomming all other programs private bytes RAM Usage, Even though i have a bucket load of free memory to play with. System and system critical processes are stripped down to sometimes <10kb of private bytes. This is the first time i've had a crashing issue of any kind with PA all the way from Alpha and it's making the face downturned I am at work at the moment but when i get home i'll get a dxdiag log for ya'll.
Try deleting the PA installation directory and re-downloading the game, there maybe a file from an older build interfering
