A Lv3 lazer turret costs a total of $175 A Lv1 Rockit turret costs $200 A Lv2 Rockit turret costs $600 Between the two rockit turrets (lv1 and lv2), they seem to do about the same damage, but the Lv2 can take a lot more of a beating. The lazer turret does about the same damage as the rockit turrets, maybe slightly less. BUT, it locks on MUCH quicker and has a much longer range. I would actually the lazer turret much deadlier. The Lv3 lazer turret has almost as much health as the Lv1 Rocket - 31 railgun hits for the lazer, 34 for the rockit. The Lv2 rockit takes somewhere around 45 or 50. So the Lv3 lazer is deadlier than a Lv2 rockit, but a little more fragile (though still very durable compared to longshots or lv1/lv2 lazers). Yet the laser is less than 1/3 the cost of the lv2 rockit.
Maybe, but a level 3 lazer turret pretty much folds like a house of cards when shot....sure it does damage and is cheap, but you have to keep rebuilding them.
Yeah, this. I've found that level 3 laserblazers are incredibly easy to blow up, while rockit turrets actually give me a run for my money as to whether I'll be able to destroy them before my smoke bomb stun effect wears off.
Lvl 3 lazer blazer dies in 1 lvl 3 sniper flak, 4 lvl 3 mortar shots, 1-2 lvl 3 air strikes, 1 jet gun clip, 2 grenade launcher clips.
Rather than nerf the level three lazer blazer I'd honestly say we need to beef up the rocket turrets! Maybe we could change level 2 rocket turrets so they can see nearby invisible enemies.... that would be awesome. I'd also say they should have quite a bit longer range for detecting enemies without being hacked.
Agreed, although instead of boosting the RockIt turrets why not simply reduce their cost a bit? A 175/350/700 or 150/300/600 cost would seem much more in-line with the other turrets (25/50/100, 75/150/300, 100/200/400).
It seems pretty rare anyone does that, though. At least on the teams I get put on. Most people seem to spend $ on abilities and juice.
Only if we give the gunners and tanks stimpaks and allow the assassin class to use a laser pointer to summon nukes. Oh, and add two new teams: Zerg and Protoss
This I agree with. I've had a lvl 3 RockIt turret quite a few times and it did own but it's range didn't change so it's still somewhat useless on most turret hubs. I'd be fine with the 175/350/700. Hopefully the cost for stuff is one of those variables that UberEnt. can change w/out releasing a patch. Since we are on the subject what are they calling that system if they are calling it anything at all?
It's a system that Microsoft has in place called Title Management Storage, or TMS. Other games have used it to do things like double experience weekends so it is not something new. Most games simply do not take advantage of the storage space or use it to its full potential.
