Low-armor assault

Has anyone tried running assault with bronze armor? If so, what was your build? I tried running armorless, but I died more than I would have liked. Bronze armor seemed perfect for me. I messed around with RoF/Accuracy/Armor, but I am looking for new things to try. I think the build I mentioned is the perfect balance for most assaults. You have a lot of killing power, but you still have armor in your build so you can survive assassin frontstabs and a lvl 3 bomb with some health to spare.

keep in mind that armor not only saves you from 1hkos, but gives you a better chance at surviving 1v1 encounters as well.

i wish more people would realize armor isnt just for surviving various facegrapples.

Bronze armor might as well be no armor. It seriously does not make enough of a difference.

First of all lemme remind y'all I'm a bad assault, but a good gunner.

I run gold armor assault and when I 1v1 against a gold acc silver rof assault they usually beat me, same goes for gunner. I claw as gunner with gold armor and bronze armor clawing gunner get's me most of the time. What gives peoples?

you should be moving around as an assault or gunner. thats all i can think of aside from skill that would make you lose those battles.

If two gunner/assaults are standing still at a medium range and both start shooting at the same time, the non armor will win. Won't the acc/rof just land that many more shots faster?

I'm not disagreeing here, like I said, I run gold armor in both cases, I just find sometimes it doesn't seem to be the best option.

what is your build vs the accuracy RoF guy?

Gunner I run armor/acc/rof
Assault I run Armor/Rof/acc

i dont know what to tell you. really there should be no reason to lose a battle like that.

fluke/lag/skill is all i can tell you.

If the person's good enough they dont need to run armor on assault. I don't and play quite well after getting passive 3 for extra crits. RoF/Accuracy/Clip size

I think Crimsonskull has been using RoF/Acc/Armor for a looooong time. He used it in the FN tourney, and when I saw him in a pub a while ago he used it as well.

depends on the scenario.

pubstomping low levels, sure. any kind of skilled opponent as assault or gunner with a decent setup on the other team will tear you up.

Like I said it depends on the player playing the assault with no armor. Playing smart is a big factor in this game and I wouldn't fight them straight up unless I got the first move

Run Gold Armor. Period. Can't stress this enough. While it depends on the player using the setup, it ALSO depends on the player who's trying to send your meddling *** back to spawn. If they're even nearly a match for you, you'll still end up dead part of the time if you're running no armor (bronze armor is basically an armored thong; use more protection).

The armor endorsement is like the arms race, once one person starts running gold armor, everybody else starts doing it, and everybody else from that point forward has to, as well, in order to remain competitive against even decent players.

I watch Xenonox kick butt with no armor. I must say though, he is the only good assault I have seen who runs no armor. Everyone else who runs no armor gets ripped to shreds by me, no matter what class I am playing.

i used to run armorless assault, but now its becoming too much of a rofl stomp so i may go back to it.

i would run armorless everything buts its too damn risky being an assassin/sniper with no armor since most weapons/ejectors/skillz one shot you, tank loves surviving katanas to the face, supports too close range (actually i may go back to that too if i know my teammates are good) and gunner is a huge target with poopy health recovery.

assaults can risk it because of their mobility and ability to quickly escape any situation.
