    Title says it all ^^
The amount of times you can be in the middle of your second moon incursion against another team finally just about to clear it for your own set of hallys when boom all of a sudden all your units start self destructing and then its the game over screen and your sat there for a few seconds going wtf?
Oh yea its that other team who spawned on the other side of the system pretty much unmolested building a halleys and crushing your com and bases into dust with an asteroid.
Dont get me wrong this is totally awesome and i love this aspect.
The only issue i have currently that unless you have all your combat sounds muted your never going to hear the alert incoming smash especially if your zoomed in on your tanks mid gunrush!
All i think it would take to fix this issue, is make the alert much more distinct!
Or a message pops up in your hud maybe top middle of the screen
!ALERT! PLANET SMASH INCOMING "planetname" COUNT DOWN TILL ANNIHILATION 0:30
or some thing along those lines. a visual 'clue' is going to get peoples attention much more than a droning sound easing into the background music. Especially for people who prefer to mute game sounds and have music or w/e going on in the back ground.

    General Question
This has me thinking. Could you mod sound files to be mixed/mastered louder than they currently are?

If you have deep-space radar, then yes, it should give a bigger alert.

I would imagine it's not too difficult to notice a large object hurling towards you with a ton of xenon-gas trailing behind it. In the Sol system, it's pretty difficult to see anything farther than the moon from earth, but a dedicated radar should be able to pick up such movements.

Must be a pretty slow planet, if it takes 10 minutes to land.

Well it wouldn't actually be a ten minute siren, but hearing a nuke siren would be freaking awesome.
It's just the kind of sound that makes you think "oh **** it's done".
