Lots of new players! :D But now we can't join games instead...

Just thought I'd post about my latest experiences with the game. We had an in-clan tournament today and I noticed that there were A LOT of lobbies up, which is great! Unfortunately we also had lots of problems joining our own lobbies. I don't know if it has to do with the amount of players/lobbies up, but it's a big problem and it happened to all of us. Whenever we actually managed to start a game, it ran smooth and nice. Good job on that! I think the server browser/joining needs some love and I wanted to draw some attention to it.

Are there more people with the same issues?

Lobby simulator is a huge problem and I hope it's fixed in the next update.

Agreed. Glad somebody else noticed.

I think it's because of the sale and everyone having a little Christmas money to spend, the servers are probably just getting bogged down with the massive influx (Which is good cause =new players)

Yep! It was a pain to join servers when too many were created. Some times you click to join, but nothing happens, or it says Login Accepted, open the loby but it is empty, you can't see the players on it. There are some cases that it says Login Accepted, but right after it disconnect to the server, returning to the main menu.

I had some minor joining issues the other night, and a friend had troubles getting into a lobby for a bit. Sometimes you don't get feedback after hitting join one way or the other and you just have to wait and hope for a minute or two. But once the lobby was full everything works alright. At that point further issues seems to come down to whether everyone has enough memory to load the planets, which is totally separate. Honestly the key is patience, so I hope new players aren't put off by minor lobby quirks.

PA is in the top 100 games by current player count!! That means lots of money to Uber!

I wouldn't say my lobby quirks were "minor" yesterday though :/ Sometimes I clicked the join button and absolutely nothing happened. Tried both clicking one time and waiting, and spamclicking. I might actually have spent more time setting up games than actually playing them...

Somebody from UBER please respond this is a huge issue.....

Last slot bug is causing alot of these issues I think

PSA: if you are a host and have only one slot left in your game, hover your mouse over the last slot. If it changes to "join", then you are good. If it doesn't, then you'll probably have to rehost the game.

Hasn't been this many players on Steam since July!
Also, Highest ever average players per month, and almost highest players in a month too!

The game really does play so much better now since the last patch. It seems word really spreads fast!

A couple of players say that they experience less problems joining a game if there are spec slots open. Do you think this could be an extension of the last slot bug elodea mentioned?

What I mean is that if you make the last slot a spectator slot, all *players* seems to be able to join. Sometimes...

I think its something else. Even when i create a game it takes forever to say login accepted.
