    Hey MNC Community!
I just downloaded this game today, and I really like the feel, style, and strategy. I've been playing League of legends for about a year, and I love mobas but MNC has a great first person shooter element as well.
Anyway, I was wondering if you have any tips for general strategy, of if there is anyone out there who wants to team up, start a six man party or whatever, I'm down for anything. I persuaded 2 of my friends to download this game 2 and I'm sure they wouldn't mind joining in. Thanks!

Hey! (Everyone else says "Hey" too.)
    That's good to hear!
    Never heard of it.
    Agreed.
Strategy section is a full of info. Watch out for Feedle posts - they rarely make any sense unless you know him.
    ASL?
    That's fantastic!

I rarely play in parties anymore, but I'm sure I'll see you in-game!

IDK about the game but as you can see, the 360 forums = pretty much dead.

Is this game really as dead as everyone says?? I don't understand it seems like such a great game and I never have trouble finding matches.

MNC on XBox is very much alive though the forums are not.

Many will hate me for this but there is a new MNC entitled Super Monday Night Combat that is free to play and PC only. It leans more towards LoL in where it's all about the lanes. SMNC also has a VERY similar business model compared to LoL. Sadly 400-500 is the amount of players on during peak times. Very niche game for the PC market.

Other than that MNC is a great game just a bit lacking in the game progression.

    Seconded.

I tried it and didn't like it, but as Stretch said, it's not for everyone. However, being free to play -- try that sh*t.

So you mean that its easy to find matches but impossible to organize a tournament or start a clan or just have premade 6v6's or something like that? And ill try out super mnc, but i was really looking for a good xbox game since i have a 360 and Halo and Cod bore me to tears.. MNC is probably the best game I've played for xbox because it has good strategy while still keeping up the action and pace of any good fps.. but there's no chance of any premade matches?

If that's the case, save yourself the time being and stick with MNC. Premades, from what I understand, died out a few months ago (maybe like 5-6) organized tournies never went through (mainly due to butt-hurt players/teams and those who weren't committed enough.)

Other than that it's just a pubstar game these days. After all it's been about 2 1/2 years since MNC released.

You'll soon realize that Juice > Strategy. Or that Juice = Strategy.

Sad, but true. When teams are balanced, it seems like it's often the team with the player who can melee bots the fastest that gain the upper hand.

    Also, Metallica suck.

Yup, no more private matches. The game isn't "dead" since you can still find lobbies, but the competitive aspect has died out. No more scrims tournaments or private matches.

If you happened to get six, you could message some vets and I'm sure we can get 6 guys out to play you.

Pubs mainly consist of Assaults who do nothing but buy juice and play for stats.

Look up Shammas/DeTroll's tank guide or some of the other guides in the strategy section.

Or look up "Gunked" on youtube and you can see plenty of high caliber private matches consisting of some of the better players throughout the years. Not all the best players stuck it out till the end, but it wasn't till the death of this game did we advance the meta game far enough to a point where things stopped progressing. Watch some of those videos, and then compare it to the zYn MNC videos which you can also find on youtube.

edit: Lavista, have you ever played shadowrun?

what do you mean advanced the meta so it stopped progressing? You mean yall got so good at this game that there was no possible better strategy?? thats actually kind of rediculous. And I've heard of shadowrun, but ive never seen it or played it. Is it good?

This game only seems deep. There are 6 classes and 3 (decent) maps. Not a whole helluva lot of strategy to be had.

However, if you come up with something that you think will knock the socks off the bottom 6 of the top 30 players, be my guest. I'm sure they would be obliged to show you how their time-tested strategy works better.

Basically this forum is dead and everyone who was playing this game moved on..
most went to cod, most went to gotham city, most went to gaurdians, most went to happy wars, and majority went to pc or super monday night.

That being said this game is exteremely still active and youll always find a match and people to play with. Now finding a fair match is another story.

Most of us who played or still play occasionally used to play competitive in some way shape or form or even in private matches.

When the game is so broken to the point no one buys turrets or upgrades them because people punch bots and get juice in seconds. So most of the players agreed stop buying them except the ones by the moneyball etc and the support shouldnt heal turrets the whole games since they get destroyed in seconds by a juiced gunner or assassin.

Bottom line is 600$ on a rocket etc could have been used on the ani or juice which is what most players thrive on and going for kills over wins and draggin the game out to overtime.

Some players like myself go for certain kills like grenade launcher etc just to keep my mine sane... others want to try and go 88-0 etc...

Basically anyone left playing this game usually picks assault and usually buys passive 3 and juice the whole game and thats how it is. More people find it fun playing this game like halo/cod rather then how can i play another class whos less mobile.

The game needed one last patch to balance some stuff and it will and never will ever happen since uber is on the pc band wagon.

So if you want to learn this game read some guides and ask for advice.. if you see a higher ranked player chances are they know everything about the game and have been playing it for a while or they spend their time boosting and avoiding good players.

This game is like team fortress where certain classes and skills give an advantage over others or counter them.

    Tank > assassin

It's ridiculous I know, but I am confident in saying it. Private matches and teams were around from the start, but classes and builds were utilized poorly, and it was more of an unorganized free for all with lots of juice buying. Like I said, look at the zYn matches on youtube. They're all spaced out and although they are communicating, their teamwork looks rather bad and more like pub play compared to some of the matches on Gunkeds channel.

We played privates for almost a year with many players coming and going. The best mostly stayed and we had some leave and some come. It was rare to find new talent in such a shallow pool, but we somehow managed. Over the year the matches still developed and new ideas tricks and strats were used, but it wasn't until we turned off juice that we realized that we've reached the end of the meta game.

For private matches, we turned juice buying off in order to make the game more teamwork based, and actually turn juice into a needed tool to push rather than just juice chaining until the ball drops. It required a lot more focus, teamwork, and chemistry in my opinion. However at this time, classes found their appropriate niches and all the good people basically played the classes in the same way.

If you want me to explain the niches and roles in privates I can.

Lavista, I ask about shadowrun because you mentioned other FPS'. I love competitive FPS games, and am a huge Halo CE fan. Shadowrun is the most in depth, complex FPS I've ever played. It's only $5 and there are still servers up.

for perspective, i've played all the Halo's, most CoD's, Most Gears, Battlefield, MNC, GCI, Most of the rainbow six titles, Unreal series, MechAssault etc..
