Hi! I posted a while ago on the Facebook page But just had a quick question. My friends and I all backed the game the instant we heard about it and are supremely psyched for it's release! We are all major Supreme commander FA fans and all grew up with Total Annihilation! One thing we all noticed in all your pictures of unit scales was the lack of transitions between structure and scenery? Obviously the game is far from done, but the Cybran scarring around the buildings or the UEF power grid connecting your base really brought the game together and we want to know if that aspect of the game will be in Planetary Annihilation?

I was wondering the same a long time ago. I would think that the UEF concrete base would be a very interested asthetic. Being able to pick a different "base" for your buildings would also be a neat, little thing to do. :)

    EDIT: Removed irrelevant statement.

In one of the livestreams, he talked about having tanks which drive over sand leave a little trail of sand when they go onto a different terrain. With that kind of detail, there will be all kinds of beauty in the terrain in/around bases I'm sure.

Yes it did. Reclaimed rocks and stuff would leave decals that the UI revealed as "damaged terrain".

The technology in the day was very limited, so the eye candy was limited as well. That's no reason to hold back today.

Destroyed rocks and plants didn't even cross my mind. Forgive my memory. :)

But it terms of buildings leaving behind a "base" that they were built on, I'm fairly sure that TA did not. I would hope that PA buildings have bases.

What about base synergy. im assuming that this game will not have it like the supreme commander power grids. that would be annoying and i just want to build to blow things up with out having to play a puzzle game while i do it.
