I think anyone can agree with me on that loading screens are unbearably long, especially if it fails to connect after 5 min of loading. Uber can you do anything to make them shorter? It isn't that big or a complicated game even world of warcraft is faster and that game is friggen huge!
Well, I don't think that WoW requires really good hardware to be run but anyway it would be nice to have an option to disable the videos.
There may be a way to disable them by force, in your game folder for me it is in steam/steamapps/common/monday night combat/hostile game there is a folder called movies I will try to tweak with it I will report my progress LD that might speed up the loadings, that wouldn't be considered against their TOS would it?
Yes, Jock that is where you can manually disable videos. Not against TOS. I see lots of players do this.
Alright thanks boss. I have confirmed it speeds up loading times by about half, I just took out the movie files and put them in a new folder I made.
I edited the HostileEngine.ini in the Code: C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\HostileGame\Config A guide for stopping this loading screen stuff would be nice, there seems to be some ways to increase the loading speed.
Thank God a way to disable the splash screens. I am so tired of my PC crashing because of this game, then waiting through those long splashes while my team is going down the drain. I know who made the game. I know what engine they used. Damn those useless screens are annoying after the 500th time! When I start my own game company in a few years, my splashes/logos/etc. will show for a very short time after the first start-up. If a publisher/producer says, Show my logo longer, I will tell him to **** the **** up **** **** in its **** until its **** **** **** its ****. L. Spiro
Are you hitting on me? Sorry I wanted to say something funny but that was all that came to mind. Yeah it's a bit lame, I know.
Yeah, the screens are annoying. Have maybe someone the original code for Code: [FullScreenMovie] bForceNoMovies=TRUE ;+StartupMovies=LoadingMovie_0 StartupMovies=trademarks StartupMovies=unrealsplash StartupMovies=LoadingMovie_0 ;+LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 ;+AlwaysLoadedMovies=LoadingMovie_0 BinkIOStreamReadBufferSize=6291456 I would like to edit a bit, but I don't know the original values anymore .
Code: [FullScreenMovie] bForceNoMovies=FALSE ;+StartupMovies=LoadingMovie_0 StartupMovies=trademarks StartupMovies=unrealsplash StartupMovies=LoadingMovie_1 ;+LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_0 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_1 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_2 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_3 LoadMapMovies=LoadingMovie_4 ;+AlwaysLoadedMovies=LoadingMovie_4 BinkIOStreamReadBufferSize=6291456
