Hi I downloaded the newest stable release with this quirky papather.exe, as the normal game downloader/patcher still does not work on my Win8.1. The last stable release was all fine and i was able to play the game. I set up everything as before, the game starts and goes fullscreen, music comes on and also the mouse pointer changes - but i cannot click on anything and the UI is not responsive to the mouse. All i can do is [alt+F4] to quit :s So i cannot select the field to enter my PW nor switch from videos to twitch... Any ideas?
I'm getting this. Single player, multiplayer and everything down to unit DB is greyed out, and the usual "connecting to ubernet" box isn't present, nor does it show up.
I can third this. I've just re-installed the game and when I start it the "Watch a short tutorial?" box shows up and I cannot click either option to continue into the game. Edit - Apparently starting the game through the .exe file fixed this, allowing me to click on the menu options. To the posts above maybe try that?
Well, I'd have to redownload the entire game again to try the launcher or non-steam version, but I'll give it a go.
As my launcher does not work, i downloaded the whole game. Then i moved it my game drive as coherent UI does not like special characters in the path. Also, as my launcher is broken, i start the game directly through the exe - neither the PA.exe in the stable folder nor the one in the bin_x64 folder works. Interestingly, it stops working as soon as the mouse is near the PW field - i could even start the system designer, watch the tutorial or access the settings. But once you go near the PW field, everything goes dead.
Can fourth this, same problem re-downloaded through steam and directly from the website and still wont work. Does this picture look familiar?
