Lobby Improvement Discussion Thread

    After just a few hours playing this incredibly awesome and fun game, teh 2 key things that really stick out for me right now both deal with the lobby, and I figure why not throw it all together?

    Tabs
    Something needs to be done visually to make it more clear what tab is currentyl active.

    Some might be fine with it, but it took me a bit to figure out that it was defaulting to LAN instead of something actually useful.

    Default tab
    It needs to be the online tab, there is no reason why the LAN tab should be the default IMO.

    Filters
    Right now I spend a good chunk of my time trying to find an open server(especially with the Blitz Gamemode) because they always are full.

    Instead of options to Show Full and/or Empty Servers, we need options to HIDE Full and/or Empty Servers.

    Anyone ohe else have anything to add?

    Chat. Not everyone have a microphone (i do but my G35 have a 7.1 sound that isn't supported)

    I saw that there is a Chat button (Y) ingame. doesn't work though.

    - Make it so it doesn't crash 50% of the times when refresh is clicked
    - Use a dropout menu for map selection in the filter, and include the option "any map"

    Agreed. It would be even better if MNC remembered wich tab you had open last time. We are creatures of habit after all. Maybe somebody always wants to see his favorites all the time. Might be even a good idea once dedicated servers are up.

    To start with, you should be allowed to hitch yourself to your friends so you can play together. This luck of the draw stuff is not only annoying to deal with, it severely limits the depth of coordination possible, which kills this game on a competitive level.

    Players should be able to switch teams in a lobby. The host should be able to lock, move, and kick players.

    Chat is necessary, with a difference between typing only to your team and typing to the entire lobby. Pre-planning should be possible this way without requiring in-game voice chat.
