Hello, i can't chat in multiplayer under Linux Ubuntu 14.04 Galactic v. 66567 and now v.66830. I can type, but i can't send. "Enter" "." and "#" did not work. But in the game a can start the chat session with the "Enter" key. I'm using a german keyboard layout under ubuntu. This could be the same problem as described under linux-galactic-war-problems.59861/ Best regards rockopb
So I seem to be having a similar issue. Certain keys are not detected when I try and type them into the username / password box. Its the same (physical) keys no matter which keyboard layout I use.
Problem with system Enter for fixed in previous update. Can you clarify what exactly type of keyboard you have? Is it AZERTY?
I had noticed on my QWERTY US keyboard, I can no longer type a double quote ("), greater than (>) or full stop (.) character into text fields. Also the in-game chat can no longer be closed using the return/enter key when there is no message typed. This was useful for quickly checking the chat history.
Standard UK qwerty. I use UK dvorak as my default layout, but when I switch to UK qwerty its the same physical keys that don't work. In UK qwerty they map to: @#~eE
In v67523 the escape key also no longer closes the chat (you have to enter a message or orbit using the middle mouse button).
