I am using a MSI RX 560 4GB OC graphics card...

I have tried multiple different distributions, using AMDGPU drivers with varying versions of mesa...

The current distribution: Xubuntu 17.10 works fine except for Planetary Annihilation.

I get purple and blocky artifacting without --software-ui option turned on, and with it turned on, i get a black screen with only the chat box on the bottom.

Is there anything i can do? Or do i have to just wait for a driver update?

(also as a note, the top picture is not from Xubuntu (it's manjaro with LXQT), but it is the same artifacting issue.)

This seems to be an issue with the amdgpu driver and the UI which is based on Chromium. See also https://forums.uberent.com/threads/linux-graphics-issues.72495/
It's still unclear why this is happening though.

So there is still basically nothing that can be done? :/

Not that I know of. I could be https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104347 or it could be something else. It's not even clear if it's PA of amdgpu that is causing the corruption.

I would post your specs in the thread I linked to so more data is available in a central place.
