When in the system manager, creating a new system I can only place planets at a limited distance from the sun, earlier systems I created gave me a reasonable distance.
Uber is trying to keep system bugs to a minimum right now, thus the system editor is very limited. It used to be a free build type deal, and there were many in-game issues because of it. Once it gets closer to the top of the priority list, things will start being less controlled and we'll get some cooler systems.
