I saw a cool new kickstarter by inXile for "Torment: Tides of Numenera". The cool part to me is not about the game at all, it was the reason they gave for starting a new kickstarter project before they finished the previous kickstarter project "Wasteland 2". The reason is simply to ensure that the "talent" that they had acquired would not leave because there was no more work ahead. I think this is a brilliant idea. I personally would LOVE to see Uber do the same thing to keep the team they have gathered for PA together. I would love it if it was something like an expansion pack for PA or some other RTS idea. Uber are you listening? Devoh
The best way to make sure we do more stuff is to buy our games. PA is a game that's mean to live on for years and have a bunch of content built on top of it. Speaking of which go buy Outland games. It's only a buck. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/outland ... d591262172
We all would if it was Android xD or even steam, I like runner games to kill time with. I think the Pit Girl inclusion will make up for it being a non-bit.trip running game
To think PA will die is Blasphemy! Uber can just make expansion packs for PA that has more planets, units and a whole bunch of other stuff. PA WILL NEVER DIE!
Life after PA: Add new content to SMNC, finish bug fixes, polish. Start porting SMNC to Linux for the Steam box release. Start porting SMNC to PS4 & Xbox720. Profit.
I have my copy ordered from back in the early kickstarter days. Now I am ordering a few more copies for friends. I love the fact that Uber is planning on adding free content, but I am very willing to pay for even more awesomeness. I'd like to second the chant "PA WILL NEVER DIE!!"
What to do after PA? 1. Make PA expansions. 2. Make PA II. 3. Make PA II expansions. 4. Make PA III 5. Make PA III expansions. 6. Make PA IV. 7. Make PA IV expansions. 8. Make PA V 9. Make PA V expansions. 10. Make PA VI. 11. Make PA VI expansions. 12. Make PA VII 13. ... etc etc etc ... Hopefully PA, with expansions, will live for years upon years before they feel the need to remake the engine for PA II.

Oh, I was in the hospital most of December and missed that Phoronix article. I think I did eventually read it, but I guess I forgot. Still, it's become a habit for me to grump about Epic's support for Linux, so I'll be darned if I stop now.
