Legitimate question, no trolling:

Did the developers intentionally make useless abilities?

gunner grapple 1-3
assault passive 3
tank deploy 1-3
assassin smokebomb 2-3

Tank deploy 2 isn't useless, dat health regen.

Although it is very niche.

FYI Gunner grapple on PC is changed a lot. I use Assassin smokebomb 2 though...

Grapple 3 is a OHKO on any kind of assassin or sniper.

But didn't they nerf the effects of armor on those classes?

Edit: I generally buy Smoke Bomb 2-3 after my Passive and Dash are maxed.

they nerfed armor, but they also made the gunner grapple throw at level 2 instead of level 3, and added a significant amount of damage at level 3. iirc, a gold armor assassin on pc = silver armor assassin on xbox.

I honestly think the armor nerfs aren't coming over. It is easier to maneuver and avoid on the PC due to the precision of the mouse.

So assaults can now kill assassins and snipers with a level 3 bomb (unless they has an overheal). That sucks.

im pretty sure a level 3 bomb doesnt kill silver armor assassins.

Light and Medium classes got an armor nerf (-75 on light and -50 HP on medium at gold from what I remember). This puts a gold armored assassin at 525 HP. Grapple 3 does 600 damage, so it has always been a OHKO on PC.

And once again: The armor nerf wasn't a big deal. It's funny how often you have to repeat that until everybody gets it. Nobody has changed his playstyle. Everything is the same.

@Wildman: No, they can't. Bomb 3 does 300 damage and somethingoranother DoT damage. Not enough to kill a light class with gold armor.

What they nerfed the bomb as well? Gunners seem OP now... The only way an assault usually gets me is with the bomb.

Even with the worse aim it shouldn't make much of a difference since the auto-aim kicks in to deliver headshots a lot of times anyway when quick-scoping.

You are among the 10-15 good Gunners in this game. Good Gunners are the counter to Assaults. At least on 360.

Don't kid yourself Wildman, the Assasult's bomb needed the nerf.
