hmm yeah, it downloaded the update, I tabbed it away and then "uberlauncher.exe broke" window. Starting it again instant yields that again.
but the question is, how do we fix it? we have to wait for them to put a new launcher out if we DL'd the bad update to it. and we have to go DL a whole new launcher since the old one wont even start long enough to update itself to fix anymore... this is going to be a pain and alot of people not on forums are going to flip if enough people dl the bad update for it.
I'm getting a similar problem in that my launcher keeps trying to update itself, continuously. I was playing ok then logged out and back in and now I get this problem. Also my launcher is version 77322 is this the most up to date version? Edit: If I hit cancel on the launcher I get the logon screen but my password isn't recognised I get the following message: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate cerify failed Does this help?
Launcher is broken. It downloads the update and then it redownloads the update. Its in a loop.. When i cancel the update and try to log in it says SSL Certificate problem error 14090086: SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE
Or: alternative launcher! My time to shine! (At least, it works for me on Linux, but it's multi-platform)
Same thing is happening here. I was installing a new retail disc and got to the updating launcher part, which recycled over and over again updating the same packets. I clicked on cancel to reopen and got the sign in window. I tried to sign in to see if that was the problem and got the message in red below, now it won't update or sign in. SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details error: 14090086:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
For anyone whose Windows Launcher is crashing, please uninstall the Launcher you have and reinstall from here: http://setup.uberent.com/PlanetaryAnnihilation_Setup.exe
