I was just wondering, if you won't reach the stretchgoals, will you add waterplanets and etc. in later patches?

I guess that depends on the post-launch success of the game?! And I wouldn't count on it.

Maybe all the stretch goals that done get funded could be combined and would constitute an expansion back instead, that could start a new kickstarter page in a year from now!

The intent is to continue to support the game.

When it comes to Game Launches, it never goes quite as planned. Often due to many many different issues at once to boot. I have confidence in Uber(I did pledge 1K after all), but at heart I'm a Realist.

With paid for DLC? Or like in TA, where the new units/maps came out for free? Personally, I really dislike DLC, especially since I'm already pledging above the cost of the game, but I can see why it might be necessary (you guys are already limited on funding).

Then again, minecraft doesn't make people pay for all those added features (the official release has been out for a while too), and that actually gets it more game sales, even now that the game has been out for a while :/

the problem with DLC for an rts, is that you can only play with the ones that also have the exact same pack of DLCs (or need to switch some of your DLC before starting a game) so especially small DLCs would not be very viable imo.

They are planning to support community DLCs (mods) I hope also the sharing is easily managed, so you can find other players with those mods easily or can make sure they get them easily. As discussed here:

expansion pack!!! IF planetary annihilation is a big hit, then they could do a kickstarter for an expansion pack!

If it's a big hit, they won't need a kickstarter for an expansion, they could just make it from the profits of PA.

A big DLC that also could be called Addon would be totally fine imho.
Just please not 10 single DLC all with one single Unit.
    ;)

...but first the actual game should be made, lets talk about this again in like 1,5 years or so...

I think we can trust that the team behind TA will not have any DLC plans, Expansion packs all the way. :D

    please stop doing that :p...
that is only making this thread longer and more pointless...
    we already have the answer.

The team has no plans for small DLC packs,
    but may consider
Expansion packs (or in other words Larger DLC packs)

Well, compared to expansion packs of old, DLCs are most definitely smaller in content.

But I agree the different is just semantics.
