Lately (ie. since release, not during Beta), I've found that fairly regularly I spawn later than my teammates and members of the other team. As I'm in the flythrough of the level, I'll see players running through the map and by the time I spawn, I'm already several seconds behind. Anyone else have this problem or any ideas on the cause or fix?
On 360 this happened if you joined a game near the beginning, while other people were still watching the flythrough. Yours would start at the beginning while theirs were partway through, so theirs would finish first
The difference is that this happens to me every game, even ones where I go from the Lobby to a new game.
I had a hunch, but is there any way I can fix it? Obviously if it's an issue with my harddrive then there's not much I can do short of replacing it, but if it is a networking issue then is there a possibility there is some setting I can tweak? I never had this problem during Beta, and I rarely/never see anyone else with this problem.
no idea, but if you find a fix, let me know! i too suffer from being a late spawner. which as support, can be really bad.
The issue isn't FPS, I'm running on medium-high settings and getting a solid 50-ish FPS almost all the time. Like I said earlier, it's probably a harddrive issue (being too slow to load the map in time for the game) or a networking issue (but I would lean towards the former because I play on low ping servers and have a decent internet connection). Anyone else have any suggestions?
ehh, was worth a shot. i was noticing the cpu on my laptop maxing out when i was playing the game on whatever settings it came with, so i put those configs in and now i dont have those jitters mid game just before i come to the edge of something, and my cpu isnt at 100% all the time. Also my maps are loading faster as i can pick my class much sooner than before and i load onto the map sooner.
I would agree (and suggest a defrag to anyone with performance problems as a first check), but as it stands, my computer is a little more than a month old and is showing no fragmentation. I'm really tempted to say this is a hard drive issue (I think my HDD is 3.0GB/s and 7200 RPM, if that means anything), but I never, ever, had this problem during beta. Any other ideas?
