My mouse (MX518) seems to lag or have an input lag in the menu and in the game. Higher sensity doesn't work, it's just "slow-acting", like an input lag on a tft with streaks.
But on the Desktop or in TF2 or other games it works fine.

    System: Windows 7 32bit Profesional
    Core 2 Duo 2GHz
    2GB DDR3 Ram
    Ati Mobilty HD 3470

    Resolution: 1200*800 on low settings.

the V-Sync in this game is actually quite useable compared to other games.

Try disabling oneframethreadlag and see if that changes anything (it's in hostileengine.ini)

Disable video smoothing, or mouse acceleration.

    ...or both.

Smoothing defaults to false nowadays, accel had been fixed back in beta 4 or 5.

    V-Sync off, .ini-file edit

Now it still lags in the menues, but only in the option menu it's good. Ingame is a bit better, but not perfect too.

I just tested this myself; total bollocks.

    Smoothing still defaults true.

    HostileEngine.ini

Find bSmoothFrameRate set it to False.

I was talking about input smoothing, since his problem regards input.

Framerate smoothing is quite useful provided you use the right settings but go ahead.

    bSmoothFrameRate=False
Still lagging in the menu, option menu is fine :(. Not tested ingame yet.

What's the use of framerate smoothing?

I use framerate smoothing to cap my framerate, and it doesn't give me any input lag

Isn't that the same what V-Sync is for? Cap the framerate?
    Where's the difference?

V-Sync syncs your framerate to your vertical refresh rate, smoothing can cap it to other values.

Hm and which values can I set when I can set any?
True & False doesn't seem to be so many options.

The lines above it are for what to smooth it to. The true/false one is just an on/off switch.
