    Seems like every time i get some traction against the ai, he sends his commander headlong into the oblivion of my defenses.

    It's a known issue and is being worked on.

    It was supposedly fixed/improved a patch or two ago.

    It should get better in the upcoming patches.

    Once Sorian enables the neural networks the commander should be much smarter about what it can and cannot win. I suspect that right now the AI doesn't understand the value of the commander unit as well.

    No this is part of the comm-rush behaviour that was added to the AI when it is losing.

    The change made was to the radius at which the commander responded to things. This has since been toned down. However, neural networks will make a larger impact because it will allow the commander (who will have his own neural network) to assess whether he's capable of handling the threat, and then not striding out there or retreating if the situation changes.

    Topic is regarding AIs tendency to walk his commander in to your base as you are winning.

    Commander defensive response is not part of that.

    Defences != base. Who said anything about AI commander defensive responses?

    The AI does dumb commander things because it doesn't understand the unit value and it doesn't properly respond to threats as the neural networks aren't in. This leads to the commander doing things the commander has no business doing. The AI does this all game, it's just you're only registering it when it's the commander, rather than when it's those four tanks that drove into your towers.

    You did. The AI 'responds'.

    Best abuse of the AI is still yo-yoing units between threats so that they get stuck in no mans land indefinitely XD

    Responds != defensive response.

    Awe man, when I read the thread title, I thought this would be a thread about suggesting that one of the AI "behaviors" be a kamikaze AI that only builds bomb bots... It would be fun to see how long you could survive against 10 of them.

    Totally didn't just hijack this thread...

    This is not the behaviour you are speaking of.

    This is the behaviour where the commander has just walked all the way across the planet to suicide in your main base. Its the AIs cowards way out.

    GENIUS!! add in a kamakazi plane! or something....*late game really late game that is kinda cheap inexpensive (only takes out a few units.) Like a baneling what it is is anti-personel which helps reduce lag via reducing stuff
