When I last checked making some servers the other day I noticed you can disable "buying juice" when making, but no option to completely disable juice all together, will this ever make it into the game at all?

I'm one of those people who hate it a lot and think juice rushes just ruin the game completely especially when you play with a random team of people who just can't seem to do anything about it, i'd love to host some no juice servers when ever it's possible.

    That is all ;)

What might be fairer/more interesting is a multiplier slider e.g. if 1x = normal, 0x disables juice (when combined with no juice buying, to either remove juice altogether or force players to buy to use it) then up to 3x or 5x for faster juice generation from bots.

Rookie servers would use a faster juice gen setting to help new players learn juice and prevent stalemates that just consume time rather than allow teams to shuffle members and classes, and allow new players to get more experience on the different maps faster.

Veteran servers would play using normal rates to keep the game as intended.

Tactical servers would force players to use their money even more wisely as a juiced assassin or tank can be devastating to punch through defences at the right moment, and a waste of $500 at the worst.

The niche servers will disable juice for those just looking for a TPS Dota, meh.

I think complaining about this is on par with complaining about the AWP in CS or the LG in quake. Give people too many options, and you can wave good bye to standard. There is a risk that servers will be set up badly, or it will divide the community too much.

Of course this is just one example, but then there'll be another and another and to disable classes, etc etc. Personally I like to play the game how it was intended, assuming that it is fair and balanced. UT franchise was a classic example of how too many options / modes ruined a game. CoD4 was another. Massive sales, seen as a joke in the competitive world though. Quake live is a good example with few options but a solid game!

I am not in favour of disabling juice. I also think there's far more important things to be worrying about right now.

Without juice, turtling would run rampant. It's just too hard for most classes to destroy high level turrets without it. A level 3 rockit with a support behind it really can't be killed by any non-juiced class except gunner

There already is an option to disable classes. When setting up a server you can choose the number of each class allowable per team, and the number can be set to zero. (I don't think this is working properly yet, but it's there.)

My argument remains the same: be wary of options.

If this option gets implemented, then I want to see it is on when I go pick from the server list. So I make sure not to go into a game with no juice.
Like the TF2 server description: vanilla, low gravity  , etc...
