Has anyone else noticed if you blow up a grenade right as a person is juicing it doesn't launch them? I have had it happen too many times when I had a nade in a clutch position and someone juices as they run over it (no idea if it was intentional) rendering it useless. Not the end of the game but it has proven quite annoying.
I believe the Juice-ing animation is an Ace. Ground Zero, Headcrab, and apparently Anything does nothing for that split second you activate it.
This. I had shstiger headcrab me as a tank once, and I juiced as he blew up the headcrab and it dealt no damage.
Really fun if someone "ground zero"s you while you have juice. Just run towards them and hit juice right before the airstrike hits. Causes mass hatemail about invincibility.
Timing it right is the key there, but boy isn't that a neat trick? Reminds me of trying to remember frame advantages on ultra's invincibility durations. Gen, my current fave, has just enough on his ultras. Actually, his crane ultra 1 has a lot but only hits air. Still, he has enough frame advantage to take a fireball while ultraing if space JUST RIGHT, especially if they shoot at near-point-blank because you will grab them out of fireball animation. Back on topic, headcrabs are hard to time juice on, but airstrikes definitely sound possible. Was it intended for juicing to have "invincibility frames", where you have no hitbox?
