But why aren't they in the PC version? For example, I was watching a friend play MNC on his xbox, he was playing gunner and got lit on fire, then a voice clip played "Woah! It's hot as a luau!"
Some of them I just don't hear as much. I might have just misheard but I swear I heard the Gunner say Donkey! once.
I went through the voice files and I found A LOT of sounds that were never playing. Such as when you were on fire, when you were in a shaveice/trap, and other effects such as (I think) getting shot a lot by bots. Sounds like you're stepping on tacks more than anything. I've heard that last one playing more often recently but more often than not it doesn't seem that well over half of the sounds in the files actually play. Either they're on a delay from other sound clips (like when you get a kill, you play a sound bite and no more will play for a while) and never get a chance to show up or they're just a really, really low chance to occur.
I've heard a couple of them start then abruptly get cut off. I've been next to a support doing the jetski taunt and I stop hearing him after a couple words.
same. For the xbox version, I hear the pros talking all the time. In the PC version, it's not the case at all. They talk, but usually during taunt. And even then they could get cut off. Also, I never heard the burning quotes they are supposed to spout when on fire. Except in blitz with the assault.
Best is while hacking a turret while getting shot "It feels like my heart Is drinking a million expre......" Haven't heard the one's where your on fire / shave ice turret ever In the game since I bought It.
He did say something, I heard it once. IT was something like 'that's spicy! That's so spicy! Ooooh that's spicy on my body...' So they do exist, but it was once in a blue moon. So I'm not sure why they have such a low chance of succeeding or even do at all.
"Aha not In a good way!, but very spicy" I wish I did hear them, when I first starting showing an interest In this game stuff like this being said played a huge factor In Its appeal to me, more so on the appeal of the Support character.
At first I thought It was an issue with my surround sound, voice clips getting lost in the void of the directional sounds, But having headphones In I still don't hear the fire reactions etc Ah well I still get my fill of Philosophy, I am happy with that
Well, IMO, if these were fixed up to be more common it would give the characters a lot more... character. Hearing the same voice clips over and over and over gets dull and makes the characters less appealing as a whole because they become more like robots repeating lines than actual interesting creations. Variety is the spice of a lot of things, including life, stew, potlucks, and video games. Also, there's apparently a clip where Mickey Cantor goes on about the Annihilator. It's not your typical one seen in schools or prisons. What happened to that?
