Hello guys. I'm loving MNC so far and I would love to see this game get bigger and bigger and appeal to a more widespread and longlasting audience. So far this has been the only game I've played recently with which I have no complaints (Thomson router issue aside, fixed now though). I do have a few ideas on increasing the variety & possibly longevity of the game.

There are all Work In Progress ideas, so feel free to give me advice on improving them. And if you like the ideas, or even just one of them then please give the topic a bump so that the devs are more likely to see it.

Anyway... ONWARDS! (Stay with me, this could be a long one!)

    1Custom Classes - Skill Trees

Custom classes at the moment let you choose from a list of endorsements. That's handy, but customisation there is fairly limited in terms of what you can change. It can also get a little tedious to carry out the same skill tree progression during each game if there's a particular class or skill you prefer. I was thinking, what if you could set up your classes to use a certain skill progression when you've got the money.

So, for example if my favourite class was assault and I always did the level 1 skills first, then level 2, then level 3, I could set up a custom class to do this without me having to go into the skill menu each time. Skills aren't the only thing you spend money on, so perhaps there should also be a tick box to check or uncheck depending on whether you want the skills purchased as soon as you have the money, or when you've got the money + 50% so you've got extra for turrets/bots.

    2 Arenas - Themes

The arenas at the moment, despite their differing locales, are only really distinguished by their layouts. It might be nice in the future to make use of specially themed arenas to add a bit more variety than simply the background.

The idea that first sprang to mind was elementally themed arenas. So for example, Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Since each of these are fairly simple themes I reckon they'd blend pretty well with the clean futuristic setting that's already in place.

So, for example. In the fire arena some of the fall zones are replaced by lava pits, flames spill from inaccessible areas. The annihilator and the other traps become a reign of fire and jets of flame (from the walls or ground) respectively.

In the water arena some fall zones are replaced by pools of water (perhaps some of the lighter classes can manage a hop on the water?). Water covers some areas slowing down bots. Traps are replaced by jets of water that push bots/players towards the edge.

In the air arena certain pathways could have winds across them that make traversing them harder for lighter characters. Winds might push players to their deaths. Traps are replaced by trapdoors which open (with a precursor to avoid them being OP) below the paths the bots travel.

In the earth arena the fall zones are replaced by pools of noxious acid, lethal to all. Traps are replaced by plant bulbs bursting and knocking players/bots away.

    3 Teams

I know I'm not the first to suggest this. It's seems a little strange that in a tournament only two teams are featured. It might be nice if future maps featured differently coloured/named teams. I say future maps because I don't know how easy it would be to have parts of the map change colour depending on which team is playing.

4 Character Gear Unlocks (This is my favourite)

I know that Uber are planning to implement some kind of gear unlock feature similar (I SAID SIMILAR) to the TF2 equipment/HAT unlocks. What I would like to see is these gear unlocks tied to the completion of Achievements. This would not only give the player something to work towards but it would also make some players stand out from the crowd.

For example. If a player completes the 2,500 kills with the assassin's blade they unlock a new Assassin costume (say something sleek & patterned like Miranda's jumpsuit in Mass Effect 2). The player wearing that costume would then be recognised as someone who's spent time as an assassin and is most likely skilled at it, they're then someone to be feared, admired... or most likely shot.

It would be nice if this were implemented to also get some more abstract/one-off achievements. Achievements that are harder to get, but you get the reward of having a unique piece of gear for completing it. So for example getting a combo where an assault player charges an enemy and when they land they are grappled by another player to kill them.

    5 Targets

Just something for a bit of fun. How about placing targets in and around arenas in certain hard to reach places. Most classes have at least one grapple or charge attack that punts the enemy. If the player could punt the enemy into the target than that player gets a monetary bonus.

So for example, if I knocked a player out of the arena with my sniper grapple and he hits one of the targets stationed around the outside then I get an extra 100$. Or maybe x2 on all money I earn for 15 seconds.

This could also tie in with the idea above, where hitting players into targets completes a challenge and unlocks a dartboard medal you can wear... or something.

Anyway, I hope that at least one person is still reading. And just in case.

    TLDR
1 Ability to preset skill tree selection to avoid it in game.
    2 Elementally themed arenas
    3 More/differently coloured teams
4 Gear unlocks tied to achievements
5 Targets to throw ragdolls/players at

    Cheers
    Iss
