For those that don't know, these programs basically allow you to automate some input functions. For example, you might automate holding the right mouse button, pressing fire, then letting go of it (quickscoping for a sniper). You can then bind this to a key or mouse press.

It basically takes away the "human delays". Assuming a player is using it solely to "speed up" input procedures, is it cheating?

Most people wouldn't be able to detect the ~0.5 seconds you shave off to begin with, so I wouldn't consider it a cheat.

Doesn't do too much in my opinion. Also, the game allows it. It is kind of a computer fad.

Also, most people see this as a big buff for computer snipers, but I would rather use it to bind charge-productnade.

I can write a script for you, if you want. Personally I use this for two things:

    1) Quick-buying skills. I press Num4 to upgrade skill 1, Num5 for skill 2, etc. That way I can continue being elusive and upgrade mid-battle. I wish EVERYONE did this. I hate when my team loses immediate field positioning because they spent the first 10 seconds buying skills.

    2) Quick scoping. I use hardware rather than software code for this, but the outcome is the same. I can literally scope-shoot-unscope so fast that the red reticle is never captured in a single frame.

If yes it's also cheating when I use my macro keys on my keyboard and nobody, ever, complained about that (it's actually encouraged in some games).

Xept Runescape. Gets you banned there.

    Yes. Yes. Yes...

Reliable tank passive clutches, so people can call me a hacker for being able to instant recover health. God I love the tank, even upgrading skills is threatening with him.

Even better than sniping, so much better...

id be interested in the one for upgrading skills quickly. i hate it when i accidentally upgrade charge to lv 3. so if i could just hit 1 button instead of 3 to upgrade a skill it may reduce the chance of an error.

Buying a skill is just 2 buttons, I need less than 2 seconds to buy my skills when the game starts :?.

I need less than half a second. Plus it's way more convenient in mid-game when upgrading. The biggest thing is that you can keep moving and use your mousehand to upgrade skills.

If you try to upgrade passive as a tank in battle, to instantly fill your health back up, 2 seconds will get you the business end of this...

I would definitely like an instant health fill twice a game, instead of a 2 second health refill that I die twice while trying to use (and then give the enemy "caught em napping")

yes, your right. its only 2 buttons. but you have to press one of those 2, twice. so 2 buttons 3 strokes.

    B - Open upgrade menu
    # - Upgrade skill
    B - Close upgrade menu.

Bicycles in a marathon run is cheating.

However, since everyone has access to hotkeys and it is in the game, I would say anyone who complains is choosing to run in a bicycle race, is what it is more similar to.

If Uber put the hotkey feature in themselves then its not cheating if its an outside program then its cheating.

What about quick-typing messages? Like relating to map control? Directing the team to problems on different areas of the map, announcing the annihilator, bullseye, and jackbot to your team?

Hotkeying phrazes in chat should prove useful, I use to have an autocomplete program for C&C Renegade, that could quickly type directions about vehicles in field or snipers in bunkers.
