I was in a room with three other pros, meaning people who are ranked and that I know are good at the game. We are put in a lobby and they are all on the other team, and I am left with some random noobs, levels in the single digits. I think one was in the 20s, it doesn't matter. I told them to please not all of them go assassin, and I was going to play it out knowing i would probably loose. They all chose "ninja". I died once and quit. I did quit in rage, at my own team. I do not want to waste 15 min, or probably less, getting my *** handed to me because I am the only one on my team that knows where the jump button is. I feel no shame in leaving, but I am curious what you guys think. Discuss

You sound like a person who has fun by playing well and having to work with a team that knows what they are doing, regardless the end-game result of the game.

I say that your early departure from the game is justified and not a rage-quit.

    Amen.

Sounds like your team was an army of mentally challenged 3 year olds. No rage. Fully justified.

Now. Just so we're clear, here.. you DID say, "I did quit in rage," correct?

I did quit in rage at the window licking ability of my team. I think the working defenition of rage quiting is quiting in rage of your *** getting dominated by the other team. i do like to play the game as a team, and love the win more than the kills. Soooo. thanks, case closed I guess? Or we can use this thread to tell stories of rage from MNC

Yes it is rage quitting, but it is definitely justified.

    This.

Definitely a rage quit. But who the hell wouldn't in this sitch?

Some players would stick around and try to learn something from the pros, but you can't really learn anything from being stomped except how to evade people who are good at killing you (which is a valuable skill, actually). The only times you learn from pros is when they have to put up a fight, and you can see what they do to maintain map control out of natural desperation.

Quitting any time for any reason is rage quitting.

Didn't you quit out of a match I was in tonight? I don't blame you at all. Those players were garbage.

Impossible, I never quit. Real pros pull host and leave their XBox on 24/7.

The weekends are absolutely plagued by terrible assassin wannabes. I played a match against 5 assassins and 1 sniper where I just happened to have chosen tank. Their entire team didn't get a single kill all match, which I don't think I've seen before.

Split screeners are almost always terrible too, with the guest invariably playing assassin and going 20-30 deaths.

Quitting when you're teamed with people like this is forgiveable, and I'd say the wise thing to do. I normally stick it out and end up eating my controller through sheer rage at my team's incompetence. I've probably already shortened my life by a year or so through stress.

Who cares, if you wanna quit then quit, its just a game. You dont need permission from the people on the forums to leave a shitty match. If i wanna leave a game i will, anyone that has a problem with this well **** them. I use to stick it out but the matchmaking seems to get worse by the day so do what ever you want, when people buy the game for you then let them have their say.

Jack, that was the game I was talking about. i was going to stick it out and play cause I saw that you and Deadstreatch were using off-classes. But my team was horrible. I wanted to stay and play against good players tho. Hit me up if you want a rematch, lol

I decided to stay and play against good players for a couple of matches and this happened... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5XT03R0_oQ ... *shiver*... oh the memories... they burn!

I now automatically rage quit whenever I see any forum names or all stars in a lobby.
