I know we've just had the game released and so the developers are entitled to their fair share of rest and to catchup on probably years worth of missed sleep, but one of the things I was hoping to see in the release build (and there was some slight changes hinting towards it in previous patches) was to have a much more streamlined UI, that is being able to not only adjust but also remove waypoints and chained commands (the former common to Supreme Commander and the latter common to both that and Total Annihilation). The hints were that on one of the recent builds there was a refined line added to each inter node. Whilst it may not sound as much as an important feature, being required to manage multiple playfields at once is physically demanding, and in turn a streamlined UI is essential for reducing the physical demand ( by reducing clicks and wasted time reissuing the same orders if you mess up the queue) thus freeing more time for actual strategy and much more successful inter-planetary management. I can understand some of the difficulty in being able to implement this, but the question is will the UI be updated to include these features?
Î doubt anyone really knows what kind of features PA will get in the future, but the current understanding is that development won't stop and I am sure some more UI improvements are somewhere in Uber's "We should do this" lists
Not to mention that most of the UI elements are very, very moddable, so I am sure modders will be making any and every UI setup ever.
