Is planet generation still be worked on and improved for more variety between the seeds?

Other than the obvious points of lava not being lava, metal planets not shooting things and gas giants yet to be a thing, I'm wondering what other goals still remain for planet generation?

My personal wish is that generating small planets often result in fairly predictable or simple variations, such a circular ocean that covers half the planet. A little more variation on smaller planets would be very welcome so that archipelagic gameplay is not necessarily reserved for large planets.

In addition, other things the planet generation doesn't have is true plateaus or cliff faces. Are there any plans to improve on the types of terrain variation in that regard? Perhaps some more drastic differences in terrain height to create ridges, cliffs, valleys, plateaus, etc.

sorry don't have an answer, but I do agree, and I was wondering what you mean by "seed" I'm a gardener so I'm confused why it's used in the system creator

It's a basic term used in Procedural Generation systems and just like actual plants, 2 different seeds grow into 2 different planets.

It changes what the Algorithm outputs, if you didn't have seeds(only only had a single one) every single Moon would be the exact same but because you have many seeds and the effects from the other sliders you end up with a functionally limitless number of "different" planets.
