Or when there are a ton of enemies/bullets/action on the screen the game starts lagging up? I can't tell if its network lag or just the UT3 engine itself lagging. Like I said this only happens when there's a cluster-f*** of stuff on the screen at once.

Usually this happens most in one of two situations:

    1. Someone hit the annihilator while the enemy had a lot of bots.

    2. Multiple players are juiced up in one area (money ball most likely)

Yeah, I noticed when the enemy player hit the annihilator the game stuttered to almost a complete stop.

I think it's a bit of both. There does seem to be in game lag separate from network lag, but it's possibly amplified when the host experiences said lag when there's a bunch of **** dying and exploding and it's passed along to you. Either way, I do think in game lag exists aside from network hiccups. There's seriously a lot of different things going on at once sometimes.
