I suspect this problem has been reported many many times, but I just wanna throw in my experience as well. Fullscreen doesn't show my mouse cursor. Since immersion is pretty ruined for me without fullscreen I've barely played. =( I know I need to upgrade my OS from Vista and I suspect that and my specific hardware has a lot to do with the incompatibility of cursor vis. But c'mon, its like the last three inches of a much anticipated marathon. Just can't quite reach it Razer Naga, VistaX64, Intel i5 k series, 660 gt, 8gigs of RAM. I'd upload some kind of technical report, but its been a long time since I've bothered doing such a thing and never saw much results anyway from such an effort. Just a heads up that my entire life and all happiness is now forever ruined =) Thanks for revamping the franchise though! I <3 TA.
Your hardware is fine, but Vista is likely. Though I'm don't think that issue for Nvidia impossible to fix as developers never commented on it (while problem with AMD drivers was from start of alpha). Also there is one small option I suggest you to try as I'm didn't tested it yet: Code: --use-alternate-window-style Try to run PA with this launch option. E.g if you run it on Steam: Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties. Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button. Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK. Close the game's Properties window and launch the game. If you use Uber launcher you can set launch options via "Options".
Thanks for the reply. I tried putting --use-alternate-window-style into launch parameters in steam, it didn't appear to change anything. It opened up in windowed mode (cursor visible) and I switched to fullscreen (it disappeared) and made sure it was set to fullscreen in graphics settings and relaunched PA to check and see if a fresh start of the game in fullscreen mode w/ the launch parameter would change anything, no luck. I have since my posting however saved a dxdiagnostic file. I'll include that in case one day the issue isn't left out in the cold. =(
