Just seen a few videos of the game and i am interested in what it looks and plays like, but there is a few things that would be better to see. As i would love to invest in the game.
    1. The planetary scale on the Battle ships in size seeing them from space to ships are far to big, the planet while zoomed in units should be big scale but zoomed out all units including buildings should also look small including the battle ships.
    2. Cloud cover around the planet, while zoomed out would be cool to see some cloud cover almost like a fog of war, also makes the planets look real.
    3. when objects are shot from space be cool to see re-entry burn of the objects as they pass through the atmosphere so you see some kind of burn on the unit or asteroid.
4.When an explosion takes place the ground where the projectile hit leaves a crater and in that area it is hard to build or you can't build because of the uneven ground.
    5. The use of Titan Unit, like in Supreme commander Forged Alliance,Monkey lord, spider bot or also a shield with the risk that shield is hit takes out your base so must be very well protected, i.e the supreme shield. when hit it explodes into a nuclear reaction.
    6. in playing Multiplayer instead of starting on the same planet be cool to start on separate planets where then you must concentrate on protecting your planet from the enemy player trying to build on your planet or taking you down from opposing asteroids or nukes.
    7. each race as there own attributes that is there strengths, also some sort of stealth units. and also support commanders.
    8. Bodies of water are more vast more open, so allowing better naval battles.
    9. Cites of civilian people and also Animal Life, birds, fish, other animal life etc.
10.Night and day, as there is a Sun you have the light side of the planet and the dark side of the planet, so where you start it will be day or night but will change, will be good that not just the commander has lights where he can see but building and units also have some can of light so building your city in darkness will light area as you go.
As i have noticed in the game the planet is light all around the planet, as that would not be the case. also a view from a bot or commander or plane as you move or flay over the land moving from dark to light.

I hope these ideas are liked but please message me in what you think.

    1. When you zoom fully out, as some casters do by accident fairly frequently, nothing can be seen clearly.

    2. This would block line of sight on your own stuff

    3. It would

    4. Then the engineers would just reclaim away the debris, which i'm sure is planned anyway.

    5. Been suggested, unknown if implemented or not

    6. This will be implemented

    7. Won't be implemented

    8. Planets vary substantially

    9. Nope.

    10. There's already a dark side, isn't there?

Lots of the topics have been discussed in great depth. Try searching before you post.

    1. The planetary scale on the Battle ships in size seeing them from space to ships are far to big, the planet while zoomed in units should be big scale but zoomed out all units including buildings should also look small including the battle ships.

So you're saying the scale should change when you zoom out? Or are you saying things should be smaller? Also consider that planets right now are small. Large planets in the full game will be massive compared to the current planets.

    2. Cloud cover around the planet, while zoomed out would be cool to see some cloud cover almost like a fog of war, also makes the planets look real.

It would just get in the way and make things difficult to see what's going on.

    3. when objects are shot from space be cool to see re-entry burn of the objects as they pass through the atmosphere so you see some kind of burn on the unit or asteroid.

That likely will be there when inter planetary interaction is put in game.

4.When an explosion takes place the ground where the projectile hit leaves a crater and in that area it is hard to build or you can't build because of the uneven ground.

For large scale explosions, such as astroids, that will be there in the full game.

    5. The use of Titan Unit, like in Supreme commander Forged Alliance,Monkey lord, spider bot or also a shield with the risk that shield is hit takes out your base so must be very well protected, i.e the supreme shield. when hit it explodes into a nuclear reaction.

This has been discussed to great length on the forums in many threads. This won't be implemented. The reasoning as I understand it is Uber doesn't want there to be a single game winning unit. They want strategy and large armies. Having one unit that blows everything up promotes micro gaming, while Uber wants this game to be all about the macro – large armies, multiple planets, that stuff. That's also why nuke explosions (as they currently are) are much smaller when compared to other similar games. Although, likely mods will add units like this.

    6. in playing Multiplayer instead of starting on the same planet be cool to start on separate planets where then you must concentrate on protecting your planet from the enemy player trying to build on your planet or taking you down from opposing asteroids or nukes.

That will be there when multiple planets are implemented.

    7. each race as there own attributes that is there strengths, also some sort of stealth units. and also support commanders.

This also has been talked about to great length. Won't be there. Players always tend to find which race is the best, and use it. So why have multiple races? Use the best units because they're the best. Stealth also won't be implemented (likely added through mods) and same goes for support commanders. Support commanders don't fit with the lore with the game and also fit under the same reasoning for not having Supreme Commander style experimental units. Also, in previous discussion, it talked about how support commanders were practically useless and rarely seen in competitive play.

    8. Bodies of water are more vast more open, so allowing better naval battles.

This is already in game. There are entirely water based planets with just a few islands. These aren't commonly seen in game because Naval still needs work.

    9. Cites of civilian people and also Animal Life, birds, fish, other animal life etc.

Why animal life? What would that do to improve the gameply aside from increase lag?

10.Night and day, as there is a Sun you have the light side of the planet and the dark side of the planet, so where you start it will be day or night but will change, will be good that not just the commander has lights where he can see but building and units also have some can of light so building your city in darkness will light area as you go. As i have noticed in the game the planet is light all around the planet, as that would not be the case. also a view from a bot or commander or plane as you move or flay over the land moving from dark to light.

    This is already there.

    wildwolfy, glad you took interest in this game, as already mentioned there is a lot of info and threads, many of us have been talking about PA for almost a Year(August 14th was when the Kickstarter when Live I believe) and have seen all the developments as they've come along, it can be a little daunting for people just finding out about PA now luckily I've put a lot of effort into some very informative Sticky threads you should check out;

    Topic Index
In the Topic Index I've gathered a list of threads featuring good discussions(meaning topics are covered from many different angles). Some of the threads are a little long, but if the thread is about something you're curious about it'll be well worth the time reading it. I've organized the threads by general theme and have attached a small description to each to help you figure out which to read before jumping in.

    Confirmed Feature List 2.0
In this thread I've compiled a list of features and based Dev Comments and the Alpha Build I've labeled things like Confirmed, Implemented(in Alpha builds) or Will Not Be Present. It's a great place to start to see what's in(or not in) the game and use that to get a good idea of the state of the game. I need to an update for this, I know I'm missing some things mentioned in the Live Streams and the latest Alpha Builds, but everything listed is correct as far as I know.

    Live Stream Index
This one lists out the topics and User Questions from each live stream and is complete with links to each segment and User Question. This is a great resource if you don't have time to watch every single one and want to focus on the topics/questions that interest you. I need to update this one as well, I'm missing the most recent Live Streams but otherwise everything else is there.

    How to Search
I created this one to help users figure out the wacky forum search tool, the default options can create very confusing search result but by tweaking some of the options you can get very good results, definitely one to read through.

I'll hit over your questions really quick, if you want more details you can use the resources above to find them.

1] We only recently got access to larger planet sizes, for the first month and a half of the Alpha the planet size was locked to something that'd play well as a 1v1 planet, Larger planets will result in 'smaller looking' units to a degree.

2] As already said, it would result in obscuring your vision when you really need it most, might make it's way in as a mod by Uber seems against implementing it.

3] It certainly would, but PA isn't at that stage yet where minor graphical effects are all that important, that kind of thing doesn't come around until mid to late Beta.

4] One of the big features of PA is the Texture system to things like planets, so unlike prior games where most/all ground based scorch marks or tank tracks were temporary in PA they'll be permanent. As for it obscuring future building attempts, I doubt it, the Fabricators are capable of reclaiming and spewing out nano-machines to build things, a bit of uneven ground is hardly a challenge. Bigger things like craters froim Nuclear missiles(maybe) or asteroid impacts will leave a large mark that might prevent building thought.

5] Experimental units have been a hot topic for hte past year, many, Including Uber themselves, don't like how the SupCom style Experimentals affected gameplay. They might make an appearance, but so far it's not looking all that likely.

6] It'll definitely be something that's possible, Users will have lots of control over creating individual planets and right up to creating entire systems of planets, moons and asteroids or just playing on a Procedurally generated system.

7] There is only pool of Units, so everyone gets to use same same units, but there will be a large selection with lots of variety and there will be lots of Commanders to choose from.

8] There are lots of different settings in teh Alpha version of the Planet editor, it's is really simple to make planets with large bodies of water. Eventually there will even be special "Water Planets" as they were a stretchgoal from the Kickstarter Campaign.

9] It's technically possible, but it doesn't add any value to the gameplay, it'd be better to get 5 extra units than have some random NPCs.

10] This is already in, you can watch the shadows shift across a planet's surface in the Alpha and when it's night units had Lights they turn on.

Hopefully that helped and hope you get involved with PA.

    Mike
