Once again it's 3 am and I have to get up in 3.5 hours and go to work. Thank the gods it's Friday and I have a short workday ahead of me. Anybody else with insomnia around here? And what can I do, I don't want to take pills...

I used to have horrible insomnia.
At first the only thing that helped was Dr. prescribed Ambien. Ambien works amazingly well.

But the real solution to my insomnia was going gluten free. Sounds crazy, I know. But I decided to try going gluten free to take care of certain other problems and my insomnia went away, along with the other problems.

I've also tried Melatonin and Valerian Root with a little success.

Thank you Scathis! I'll probably start with Valerian Root and work my way up if it doesn't help. And I might try beer. I have noticed that beer works really well to get me tired (about 1 liter is perfect). Too bad you can't drink beer every day, don't want to cure my insomnia by switching it for an alcohol problem... :D

I don't think anyone would argue against a glass of wine with dinner.

    I certainly wouldn't... xD

Wine tends to keep me awake though.
