An annoying thing about the commander upgrades, submarine dive toggles, unit special abilities, fire states, move states and all that stuff, when playing Forged Alliance- particularely because shift queueing is such a huge part of these games- is you couldn't make those part of your unit's order queues. If for example I wanted my submarines to surface but only once they reached a certain position, I can't just place those orders at the end of their order queues then let them be, or make diving part of a long string of orders; I have to actually wait for them to reach their destinations before activating their unit state toggles, and toggling removes and prevents any further unit orders from being made. This requires mind-numbing attention, and in a game with many things going on at once it can be easy to forget to carry out what you initially wanted.

So what I'm requesting here is: anything and everythiing that is or has to do with unit orders- please allow me to shift queue it.

    Seconded.

    (isn't this possible in Supcom2?)

Agreed. Once again, this is a nice little feature of Zero K that I've found to be quite handy.

Agreed. Good feature, no reason not to include it.

I can see many reasons why this is a good idea and I cant think of any reason why it is a bad idea. I agree, good idea.

I agree with the others, this could be a quite useful feature, especially on multiple/large fronts.

I seem to remember that these special functions were on little circular buttons instead of squares, and they were toggle states instead of things you could give a target
So having them inserted into the order queue when shift is held would be optimal
